Green Bonds raise funds for financing projects and activities with environmental benefits. The Green Bond market has proved to be a fast growing global phenomenon, with issuance roughly doubling in 2016 to in excess of $80 billion.

The Green Bond Principles (GBP) are voluntary process guidelines intended for broad use by the market that recommend transparency and disclosure, and promote integrity in the development of the Green Bond market. Launched in April 2014, they are established as the best practice standard for issuing in this market, continuing to evolve in line with market developments.

The third AGM of the GBP, at which the 2017 update of the principles will be announced, will take place in Paris on 14th June.

In the afternoon following the AGM (open to GBP members and observers only), market participants, investors and commentators are invited to attend a conference where the GBP 2017 update will be discussed, together with other ground-breaking international developments related to the green bond market, including those in social and sustainable finance.
