Experienced Sales/Business Developer, Paris, France

We provide augmented credit risk assessment, ESG integration, and advanced carbon footprint and 2° alignment measurement services, along with customized solutions to pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, commercial banks, and more.

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and dynamic sustainability professional to help expand our business internationally. Based in Paris, you will be responsible for growing our business throughout Europe and in Australasia. You will identify and assess new business opportunities in Scandinavia, Benelux, Netherlands and Australia/New Zealand to position Beyond Ratings in new markets. This is a challenging position that will require demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate’s main responsibilities will be the following:

  • Build new and enhance existing client relationships in Europe and Australasia
  • Establish and maintain close contact with prospects
  • Represent Beyond Ratings in new/existing client meetings and in conferences/trade shows as needed
  • Ensure follow-up and minutes for meetings
  • Identify client needs and potential collaboration opportunities to boost sales contracts
  • Provide feedback and inputs for the development of new products and/or sales processes
  • Develop proposals/quotes in coordination and validation with the Head of Business Development
  • Coordinate with the Business Development team on market research and market watch, including identifying opportunities for lobbying at the local level
  • Assist the Head of Business Development in any other relevant tasks

Your profile

  • Successful experience (2-3 years) in a similar position (business development and sustainability)
  • Developed business acumen, ideally in business intelligence / financial services
  • Excellent client relationships
  • Pro-active and results-driven
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (native English speaker is a plus)
  • A strong command of additional languages (French, German, etc) is a plus

  • Compensation: fix + bonus, depending on experience
